MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

  • Management Information System (MIS) collects all the information from TPS and converts it to report as for monitoring.
  • Usually it is a Report Generator.
  • MIS have large amount of inputs and they produce summary reports as output.
  • It is used by the middle managers who manage the organization.
  • There are three types of reports generated by MIS;
        1. Detailed Report.
        2. Summarized Report.
        3. Exception Report.

DETAILED REPORT

It contains all the information about the product which is produced by the system. It has A-Z informations. By reading this report we can get an overall idea about the product.

SUMMARIZED REPORT

This is the report which contains the summarization of the product. This report is useful for the people who have an idea of the product.

EXCEPTION REPORT

This report is created for the products which are exceptional. The products which are not in the usual condition.
